I love tie-and-dye, and used to carry books around in tie-and-dye bags that my mum made for me. It was some time before I became aware (to my discomfort) that people in the west associated it with hippies. Here’s a BBC slideshow about makers of tie-and-dye fabrics in Mali.

My RSS feed for your blog has started giving me old comments as new posts. Being an American, I fear this is due to witchcraft or terrorism.

Thank you, Reader. I think the problem was being caused by my using an Apache module called “mem_cache” to speed up my server. I have deactivated it now. Do please let me know if it happens again.
