British Corruption

The latest political scandal uncovered on BBC Radio 2 news this morning was a Conservative MP being “late to declare hospitality from McDonald’s”. Imagine an Italian person hearing that report and trying to make any kind of sense of it at all.

I’m deeply offended by the implications of your statements on Italians. Prepare to

    a) be sued for gross violation of my human rights
    b) find the head of your favourite horse/cow/bunny rabbit/budgerigar on your bed/dresser/breakfast table
    c) be reviled for a week on the CiF page on the Grauniad
    d) be treated even more rudely in Italian restaurants

    (pick two)

What does declaring hospitality from McDonalds actually mean? That at a specified time, one will be holding court over McMuffins?

It is questionable whether Maccydee could be classed as ‘hospitality’ at all by any rational individual with more than two operating taste buds and any gastronomic discernment at all .

No doubt what you were alluding to in the first place.
