Excellent example of a dilatant fluid.

Widely available in Morecambe Bay and the Solway Firth. Just pick the right bit, that’s all.

Entertaining stuff. From a Braniac type programme I take it?

I’ve no idea, but it looks like fun.

I saw it on Brainiac. John Tickle (who found fame from Big Brother), walked on “water”, that was full of custard powder. It seems that the liquid becomes solid when kinetically activated and so when you stand on it, it becomes temporarily solid allowing you to walk on it. If you stop and stand still though, you sink!
